The year kicked off with a scrabble workshop conducted by the most experienced in the department, Gautam Hazari. The event saw around 20 people (which is quite good, since the insti scrabble workshop had a turn out of only 15). The zeal with which the workshop was conducted & also the enthusiasm of the freshmen was just amazing, with all the bachchas learning the tricks of the trade in the process.
Without any doubt, this was the biggest event of the semester. Planned by Audi & Ghaza who conceptualized the event completely, it was a great hit in the hostel. The hostel had never seen such a ambiance before for any event. In th event points were also kept for the costumes that the teams were in and the judges were awe struck by the ideas that the participants came up with for their costumes some of them being, bandaging the whole body with white tape to resemble a mummy, some gargoyles etc etc. Another highlight of the event was that a team actually managed to get a real bone which was asked for in the list. We had nearly 80 participants in the event the maximum i guess in all lit events.
With open rebuses close by, this event was held in lieu of passing on fundaes to the junior batches. Saddy and Ghaza had come down to help out with the event which saw nearly 50 participants ( a lot more than expectations, i should say). A decent show was put up by the teams, considering it was their first time.
this year a new initiative taken was conducting a Quiz week, which comprised of 3 quizzes (Logic, Sports and gen) over the week.
A quiz which is very popular among seniors as well, saw a really good senior participation with nearly 4 senior teams participating in the event. Surprisingly though it was a freshie team who bagged gold in the event just edging past OD & Chadda's team. A healthy competition was visible between seniors and the freshmen
A relatively less popular quiz which obviously saw lesser participation than the Logic quiz ( an exponential dip in senior participation :P). But none the less, it was enjoyed by the participants
Last but not the least was the mother of all quizzes, Gen Quiz. Set by the Literati Convener himself, it was a big challenge for the participants, which some of them managed to clear in style.
