Mess Menu

The mess menu seems to be very nice. But is it actually folllowed? And how is the taste? like food at a good restaurant or like the food we had at kota in most messes? One of my friend at nit surathkal shocked me by telling that all this delicacies lie just in paper. Is that true??

The menu is followed to the dot on most days in all the messes. But you do get bored of the taste of food after eating the same kind of food everyday. You can hardly expect restaurant like taste in a mess What is important is that the level of hygene is generally well maintained.

hi fellow , i dont take onion and garlic in food  due to medical and cultural reasons , how would i adjust there , is there some provision ??

I guess you could try requesting the mess manager, I have heard of occasions where they have prepared special food for someone for medical reasons. In case they dont agree, you can always unsubscribe from the mess and go to the canteen / ask for dabba service from outside!

Yes, it's a menu which tells you what the mess will cook on different days.its followed well, except when it's an exceptional situation.
Hostel messes will also keep changing the menu from time to time to avoid boredom.

i am sorry but i didn't ask the definition..to be very clear what roughly does a hostel mess prepare on different days of the week?
