With undoubtedly one of the best Basketball facilities in the country, IIT Bombay boasts of a very rich basketball scene. More often than not, you will find both the courts filled with enthusiastic hoopsters - skilled and unskilled - trying their hands at the game. The sport offers equal opportunities to both the beginners and the pros to hone their skills.

Activites Apart from the NSO programme, various training camps are held under the aegis of Dr. Edwin. The Inter Hostel Championships for men and women (both held in the autumn semester) are major crowd pullers.The Institute team competes at various levels, notably the Inter IIT Sports Meet, the Inter University Championships (organised by the Association of Indian Universities) and various local tournaments like the Ghatkopar Open, YMCA Open tournaments and VJTI basketball tournament and has performed well!

Due to their exemplary performance during this year as well as the previous years' Inter IIT championships, the following have been awarded:
