Welcome to the Mecca of the sports world here in IIT Bombay! Remember the times when you would stand in front of the TV amazed by the show put on by the super humanely talented footballers. This is your opportunity to imitate Messi jinking across the field, Terry committing last ditch tackles & Xavi picking a pass through the eye of the needle.
Apart from the NSO programme, training is organized for the institute team. Apart from the daily unorganized recreational activities, various competitions are organized at the Intra Hostel and Inter Hostel level. The institute teams play in Division 3 of the Mumbai Divisional Football Association's (MDFA's or BDFA) Divisional Leagues.

IFL
This year's IFL was organized at a grand scale with participation of over 210. Ishan Singh was the Most Valuable Player with a staggering 320 point value. Barcelona emerged victorious in the tournament under their enthusiastic manager Mr. Anurag Agarwal .The closing ceremony was graced by the Dean of Student Affairs & Chairman Sports who encouraged the students to step out of their rooms and take part in various activities taking part in the institute.

Inter Hostel GC & Hostel Football Leagues
After the Inter IIT & before the IFL season kicks off, the hostels battle it out on the football field to be Champions of the most widely played sport at IIT Bombay. In the Football GC 09-10, H-3 were the Gold medalist with H-4 as the runners up & H-6 as the bronze medalist. The hostel football leagues are organized to cater to the general enthusiasm of students for football. These are organized by the Sports Council of the respective hostels and are scheduled in the autumn Semester.
