Lawn Tennis is one of the few sports played at IIT Bombay with full enthusiasm throughout the year. Tennis courts are flooded with students during peak hours and many of the students have been previous national/state level players and have brought pride to the institute, while you ´ll find loads of other players at amateur/beginner level who strive to learn the game and play it regularly. Tennis is not a very difficult sport to learn, all you need is enthusiasm, dedication and commitment!

Activities
Dr. Reddy is the coach for tennis at IIT Bombay and has always helped students at IIT Bombay to learn tennis and guided them to heights at Annual Inter IIT Sports Meet with his experience. Apart from playing regularly at the courts, students at IIT Bombay are given opportunity to show their flair and class in various tournaments. Inter Hostel Lawn Tennis GC is conducted in which each hostel sends their best 4 players to represent and bring pride to their hostel. Talented players are given opportunity to qualify for entering the IIT Bombay ´s Inter IIT Tennis team. For the freshmen at IIT Bombay, a Freshmen Tennis Open is held to give them opportunity to show their worth, and year after year, fresh young talented players are identified who are groomed to eventually represent IIT Bombay at the Annual Inter IIT Sports Meet.
