ABOUT US...
The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay began in 1958, as one of the five centers of excellence in engineering education , by a special Act of Parliament. The Student Activity Center (SAC) came up in 1980, along with the swimming pool. The IIT Swimming club started functioning in 1983, under the stewardship of Coach, Dr. P. M. Reddy. It is affiliated to the Maharashtra State Amateur Aquatic Association.(MSAAA)

We are a SMALL swimming club. When there are 4 people practising in each lane, we say it is crowded. Nevertheless, we have a dedicated band of swimmers ranging in age from 8 yrs to 21 years.
Many ppl have contributed to the glory of swimclub till now...

Our Records: Our swimmers have been participating at the District, State and National level since the early 80's. Some of these people are currently in the US pursuing outstanding academic careers.

The Swimming club conducts several activities throughout the year in an effort to bring the swimming fitness culture to the Institute.
