The academic year 2022-2023 was the first time our hostel was at its full capacity and had dedicated council for sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Becoming overall general championship did not happen on a single night. Behind it, we have sport councillor Tanmoy Das who worked hard for our hostel to get its dedicated gym and other sport equipments. Before that, our hostel residents had to use central facilities which had limited access due to COVID restrictions. Then, we have our general secretary Ram Kumar who had to manage funds for our hostel and convinced wardens to release funds for sports that was seen a low priority (the hostel was just getting started and we needed everything from mops to washing machines and driers). We got our cricket equipments just prior to the match thanks to our then warden Prof. Samir Maji who approved funds to buy top class equipments. We also have to thank our (then) sport secretaries, listed below for their contributions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
