The GC trophy is a silver cup that is awarded to the winning hostel each year. The trophy is a symbol of the hostel’s sporting prowess, and it is a coveted prize that is proudly displayed in the winning hostel’s common room. The GC trophy was first awarded in 1958, and it has been contested every year since then. The GC trophy is more than just a piece of silverware. It is a symbol of the spirit of competition and camaraderie that exists in IIT Bombay hostels. It is a reminder that sports can bring people together, and that they can help to build a sense of community.
