Students' Gymkhana
The apex student self-governing organization representing all undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral scholars at IIT Bombay. Operating under the Dean of Student Affairs, Gymkhana coordinates hostel governance, academic representation, athletics, cultural arts, and technical innovation.
Hostel Affairs Council
Coordinates hostel administration, mess governance, residential maintenance, security, and hostel student welfare in conjunction with Hostels Coordinating Unit (HCU).
Student Representation & Campus Governance
Core operational focus areas representing the student body across residential life, co-curriculars, and academic advocacy.
Hostel Affairs & Dining
Governed by HAC across all 21 residence halls (Hostels 1–19, H21 & Tansa) in liaison with HCU and Wardens. Oversees room allotment, mess nutrition via CMC, and hostel infrastructure.
Sports, Cultural & Tech (ISC, ICC, ITC)
Operating competitive athletic contingents (ISC), campus performing arts and flagship festivals (ICC), and engineering innovation teams and Tinkerer's Lab (ITC).
Curriculum & Academic Advocacy
Represented via UGAC and PGAC before Institute Senate and DPGC/DUGC committees. Manages student academic mentorship (DAMP/ISMP) and curriculum reforms.
Office of the Dean of Student Affairs (DoSA)
The Office of the Dean of Student Affairs provides statutory oversight, student welfare administration, and institutional guidance across all hostels and co-curricular councils.
Constitutional Governance & Statutes
Students' Gymkhana operates under the ratified constitutional framework of the Students' Affairs Council (SAC) Constitution and Department Student Council (DSC) Constitution.
