1. What is "The Power To Pay" Tag?

"The Power To Pay" Tag is India's first & unique, multi-purpose co-branded Contactless Prepaid Payment Instrument issued by ItzCash Card Limited in collaboration with IIT-Bombay; supported by National Payments Corporation of India, Canara Bank and manufactured by United Tectsa. It is a smart and effective alternative to carry cash and make payments for various services in and around the IIT-B Campus and NPCI canteen. "The Power To Pay" Tag is simple, convenient and safe to use. It is a financial instrument which can be pre-loaded with the appropriate amount for subsequent use as per the holder's convenience. It empowers the customer and provides control to use the Tag securely at retail outlets equipped with a Point-of-Sale terminal to make payments.

2. How to use "The Power To Pay" Tag?

Remove the protective covering from the back of the Tag and stick it on the mobile, then simply touch the mobile on the PoS terminal at the designated merchant outlet to make payments.

3. What is Account Number?

The account number is a 12-digit number (e.g. 522542952669). It is used for loading money on the Tag through Net Banking or for blocking or hot listing the Tag in case of loss of Tag. Do not disclose your account number to anyone, except to ItzCash customer care only for the above purpose.

4. What is PIN?

The 4-digit PIN (e.g. 5732) is used to authenticate payment transactions when the cumulative or single payment transaction exceeds Rs. 200. Do not disclose your PIN to anyone including ItzCash Customer Care.

5. How may one get "The Power To Pay" Tag?

The Tag will be issued at the time of enrollment/admission in the IIT-B campus for new students. It will also be provided to existing IIT-B students and faculty. One has to simply approach the ItzCash Sales Team present on IIT-B campus and a new Tag will be issued on submission and verification of the KYC Form and documentation. NPCI employees can approach the ItzCash Sales Team present in the NPCI office and a new Tag will be issued on submission and verification of the KYC Form and documentation.

6. What documents are required for the "The Power To Pay" Tag?

Refer to the list of documents as listed on the KYC form, which needs to be submitted to the ItzCash sales team to acquire "The Power To Pay" Tag.

7. Where to get the KYC form?

A copy of the KYC form is enclosed in "The Power To Pay" Tag kit. One can also visit www.itzcash.com/powertopay to download the KYC form.

8. Where to submit KYC documents?

The completed KYC form along with requisite KYC documents may be submitted to the ItzCash Sales Team present on the premises.

IIT-B students & faculty can reload their Tag at selected merchant establishments in the IIT-B Campus or online through Canara Bank Net Banking. NPCI employees can reload their Tag at the NPCI canteen or though Net Banking/Credit Cards/Debit Cards.

14. What to do if "The Power To Pay" Tag is lost or stolen?

If "The Power To Pay" Tag is lost or stolen, Hotlist the Tag immediately by contacting ItzCash customer care at 022-61125757 and mention the account number.

16. What is the process to cancel a purchase?

To cancel a purchase, contact the merchant establishment for cancellation of purchase at which the payment/transaction has been done. The merchant will reverse the same and the Tag will get credited with the purchase value.

17. What happens if "The Power To Pay" Tag expires?

A request for renewal of the existing Tag can be raised before it expires. A renewal fee will be debited from the available Tag balance.

18. What happens if "The Power To Pay" Tag is not used for prolonged periods?

As a precaution, if "The Power To Pay" Tag is not used for a continuous period of 6 months, it will be deactivated. To reactivate the Tag, contact the ItzCash Call Center at 022-6112 5757.

19. How to make payments at merchant establishments?
  • Visit the merchant establishment
  • Complete the purchase
  • Touch the Tag on the PoS terminal
  • The merchant will enter the amount to be debited towards the purchase of goods or services
