HOSTEL 16 RULES & REGULATION
A ] DEFACING OF WALLS / DOORS / WINDOWS OF HOSTEL ROOMS
1. Walls, Doors,& Windows of HOSTEL ROOMS should not be defaced by the inmates.
2. Do not writ with Pen , Pencil , Paint on Walls , Doors & Windows.
3. Do not paste Posters , Photos , on the Walls/Doors.
Heavy fine will be imposed if any inmate is found to indulge in the aforementioned activities.
4. Furniture should not be changed-exchanged with other room/other occupants without the knowledge of Hall Manager.
Furniture items of the romms should not be put outside the room/corrider.
5. Plywood top of cots should not be removed/replaced from frame of cots.
Furniture items will be repaired/replaced if same is found defective due to wear and tear .
Heavy fine will be imposed if it is found that furniture is damaged due to negligence of the inmate.
6. Furniture items should not be taken out of the room for any purpose / function without written permission from the Warden/ Hall Manager.
Gate Pass has to be obtained from the Security Officer , if a furniture item has to be taken out of the hostel after taking prior permission from Warden.
7. If a furniture item is found to be defective , it should be reported the Hall Manager immediately for necessary repairs/replacement.
8. In case of any damage/breakage of the Institute's Property / Hostel Property , the cost will be recovered from occupants.
B ] ROOM CLEANING SCHEDULE (ON EVERY SAT / SUN -- ONCE IN MONTH)
It is expected from the students to get room cleaning done from the housekeepers in
their presence on regular basis.
C ] UNAUTHORISED STAY
Guests/Friends/Parents/Relative etc are not allowed to stay overnight in the rooms allotted the students.
For availing guest room facility , prior permission from Hostel Coordinating Unit / Warden / Hall Manager has to be obtained the students.
Guests Rooms will be allotted , subject to their availability, on payment basis.
Ladies/Guests/Relatives are allowed to visit the inmates only between 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM after
making proper entries in the register available with security Personnel on duty.
D ] DEFACING - BREAKING IN COMMON PLACES
If any fefacing / breakage / damage in common places, the cost will be recovered from all wing inmates; in each case .
Amount will be recovered through mess bills. Fan-lights are to be swithched off when the inmates are out of the room.
Minimum fine in such caser will be Rs. 500 /- .
E ] CYCLE PARKING :
Resident shall park their Bicycle in designated area only. Violation might lead
to confiscation of the cycles and a fine of Rs.1000/- per violation to be paid by the owner of the Bicycle.
The Residents should insist on their guests parking their Cars/Motorcycle/Bicycle only
in parking area alloted for guest-parking or outside the hostel premisies .
F ] CHANGE / EX-CHANGE OF ROOMS
Changing / Shifting of rooms is not allowed without prior permission of the Warden
/ Hall Manger.
Resident shall not consume alcohol or any intoxicating substance in the hostel premises.
Under no circumstances may students atteps to procure
duplicate keys or call locksmiths to the hostel premises without written authorization from the Warden/Hall manager.
Heavy Fine will be imposed and disciplinary actions will be initiated by the Institute
/ hostel authorities on breaking of above rules.
