Hi everyone,
We have received multiple queries regarding issues related to course re-tagging, freezing/finalising of course tags, graduation requirements, and summer courses.
To streamline the resolution process and ensure that all cases are documented properly, we request students facing any such issues to fill the attached Google Form at the earliest.
Please note the following important points regarding the process:

Courses can be re-tagged only once, irrespective of any prior re-tagging history. This means that going forward, each course will be permitted only a single re-tagging attempt, and any previous re-tagging done in earlier semesters will not be counted towards this limit. This policy is applicable uniformly across all batches, curricula, and departments.

At present, re-tagging of advanced courses requires formal approval from the concerned department in the form of a signed letter from both the Head of Department and the faculty conducting the course. We are currently exploring whether this process can be simplified or streamlined further.

Students are requested to go through the UG Rulebook before raising queries. Repetitive queries regarding matters already explicitly covered or requests unrelated to actionable academic issues, may not be prioritised.

To ensure efficient handling of requests, queries will be resolved in the following order of priority:
Google Form > Email to gsaaug@iitb.ac.in (with isaaug@iitb.ac.in in CC) > WhatsApp

Since a large number of requests are expected, please allow approximately 1–2 working days for your query to be reviewed and processed. We request your patience during this period.
Students are advised to provide complete and accurate details while filling the form so that issues can be addressed without unnecessary delays.
