The Inter IIT Tech 14.0 High-Prep problem statement – Arista Networks: AI-Powered client-centric Radio Resource Management (RRM-Plus) Challenge – has just been unveiled! This is your opportunity to build an intelligent, client-aware, and AI-assisted system that redefines how enterprise Wi-Fi networks are optimised in real time. Ready to take it on? SHORT SUMMARY OF THE PROBLEM STATEMENT Design, prototype, and validate RRM-Plus, an AI-assisted, client-aware Radio Resource Management system leveraging Arista’s additional radio for continuous environmental visibility and real-time decision-making. The objective is to enhance real-world client Quality of Experience (QoE) and network reliability through intelligent spectrum analysis, client-aware telemetry, and AI/ML-based optimization. The challenge brings together multiple domains, including: 1. Wireless Systems Engineering: Developing adaptive RRM policies for dense, high-variance enterprise Wi-Fi environments while ensuring regulatory compliance and system stability. 2. Client-Aware Networking: Integrating standards-based telemetry (802.11k/v/mc) and passive client inference for explainable, data-driven decision-making. 3. AI/ML for Optimization: Applying Bayesian Optimization, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), and Safe Reinforcement Learning (RL) to learn interference patterns and optimize control decisions safely.
