Hello Everyone. We hope this email finds you well. We're thrilled to share an exciting opportunity with you - AZeotropy's Predictioneer 2026. Predictioneer is a data-driven challenge that invites students to apply machine learning and modeling techniques to uncover hidden dynamics in complex systems. This year’s problem statement is inspired by real-world scientific research in systems biology and dynamical modeling. Participants will work with spatial-temporal experimental data to infer a gene regulatory network and subsequently predict system behavior under a new experimental perturbation. Key Details: Objective: To develop a data-driven model that learns regulatory interactions from experimental data and accurately predicts gene expression dynamics under unseen conditions. This challenge mirrors real scientific and engineering problems involving inverse modeling, kinetics, and causal inference, making it highly relevant to students interested in machine learning and chemical engineering. The competition is open to all the students of IIT Bombay.  Participation Procedure: Teams may consist of 2 to 4 members. Each team should have atleast one chemical engineering student Prizes & Certificates: 1. The top 5 teams will be awarded cash prizes worth ₹25,000 INR total. 2. The top 10 teams will receive a Certificate of Merit 3. All teams making a valid final submission and satisfying eligibility criteria will receive a Certificate of Appreciation Registration Link: https://forms.gle/afgW1Ba1aYNoqWrM6 Registration and submission Deadline: 28th January 2026 (The detailed problem statement is available within the registration form.)
