We cordially invite you to a classical evening by Shri. Nilimesh Chakraborty and Shri. Monit Paul. Time: 7:30 PM Date: Monday, 2nd March, 2026 Venue: P C Saxena Auditorium Shri. Nilimesh Chakraborty was born into a musical family. His mother late Mrs. Suparna Chakraborty was a Sarod player. He started his learning from the early age of 2 under his uncle Shri. Ajoy Chakraborty and then from Shri. Debasish Majumdar, a disciple of late Pt. Shankar Ghosh. Since last 20 years, he is under the guidance of Pt. Swapan Siva of Farukkabad gharana. He has performed extensively across the nation in various prestigious music festivals and has also represented India in international festivals of music and art in 67 countries. He is also an empanelled artist of SPICMACAY and ICCR since 2012. Shri. Monit Paul is one of the most dynamic Sarod players from this generation under the Senia Bangash gharana. A disciple of Pt. Debojyoti Bose under the legacy of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, he has represented India in various prestigious music festivals across the globe and received several accolades.
