Dear Students, The Center for Multidisciplinary Education (CME), IIT Bombay (previously LASE), offers a department change pathway aimed at bringing together students who are ambitious, intellectually curious, and motivated to work on meaningful problems. CME seeks to create a shared academic environment where these students can engage across fields, enabling broader perspectives and more impactful work. Many notable innovators and researchers have done their best work at the intersection of disciplines, where diverse ideas and approaches converge. The CME program offers the flexibility to choose courses across departments with personal faculty guidance. It is designed for students who are comfortable taking ownership of their academic trajectory and are interested in exploring beyond conventional degree structures. An orientation session will be conducted to explain the program in detail, including its academic structure, curriculum, and the opportunities it offers.
