Dear All, As a conclusion of months of effort and talks, we have finally completed the process to integrate all department elections into a centralised system. This will lead to greater transparency, accountability, fairness and speed. Additionally, to better recognise the efforts of position holders in department councils, we have also unified the department council structures through the creation of a new Constitution of Department Student Councils. This year is the first time elections will be conducted together for all departments, headed by the General Secretary, Academic Affairs (UG). Link to nomination form: https://forms.gle/cgiT3p1juiWcXWSP8 Timeline Filing of Nominations: April 4 - April 7, 2026 (Extended till 3 PM) Manifesto Submission Deadline: 11:59 PM, April 8, 2026 Soap Box: April 9 - April 11, 2026 Voting Day: April 12, 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Students with CPI>=7 with at most one active backlog are eligible. Students with CPI<7 without active backlogs are eligible. Students with a record of disciplinary action against them are ineligible to apply for any position. Gymkhana rules apply. UGAC will organise and conduct soapboxes where it receives any nominations for the position in coordination with department councils.
