Dear Students, The Undergraduate Academic Council is exploring the possibility of proposing a Double Major Program at IIT Bombay. In line with the constraints mentioned to us by the administration, this proposed structure would allow students to complete a 5-year B.Tech + BS / BS + BS degree, with the second major being offered in Economics or Design. Under this framework, qualifying students (with a minimum CPI of 8.0) could apply after their 5th semester. The 6th-8th semesters would include prerequisite and introductory courses from the chosen second major, while the 9th and 10th semesters (5th year) would be dedicated entirely to completing the second major requirements. The total additional requirement is expected to be around 78-90 credits. We’re currently assessing student interest and feasibility for this initiative.
