Dear Students,
This is to inform you about an important update regarding the course re-tagging policy.
As per the revised policy, applicable to the 2023 batch and onwards, a course can now be re-tagged only once during the entire duration of the programme. Students may still use either the interim re-tagging window or the graduation re-tagging window, but once a course has been re-tagged, its tag will remain frozen and cannot be changed again later.
Students who are applying for or planning to apply for the Interdisciplinary Dual Degree Programme (IDDDP) are advised to complete all intended re-tagging before submitting their IDDDP application. Although the re-tagging window remains open for 2 months, students who apply for IDDDP will not be allowed to re-tag courses during that same window after their application has been submitted.
Additionally, students applying for Institute Medals are advised to complete their re-tagging within the first 45 days to ensure their updated CPI is considered during medal evaluation. Re-tagging completed after this period may not reflect in the CPI used for the consideration lists.
Please feel free to reach out or refer to the webmail sent by Deputy Registrar (Academic) for further information.
