Howdy fellas!
Hope you had a great post-midsem break! We’re excited to back again with Cryptogue Talks, a series of fascinating and accessible discussions on cryptography and the mathematics behind it.
Conducted in collaboration with the Cyber Security Community, each weekly session will run for about 1.5 hours. We’ll begin with a quick introduction to the required number theory and then move directly to how those ideas power real cryptographic techniques. To top it all off, every session will end with a hands-on programming segment where you can try implementing the concepts yourself. For the first week, we’ll start with “Introduction to Classical Cryptography”, along with a short refresher on Elementary Number Theory.
So if you’ve ever wondered why it’s so hard for eavesdroppers to read your private messages, this is the place to find out!
