Greetings from ITC, The Institute Technical Council, in collaboration with Jio, is pleased to announce the JioPC Open Innovation Challenges (April 2026 Edition). These challenges focus on building impactful solutions for a cloud-based Desktop-as-a-Service platform aimed at enabling affordable computing access across India. Participants will have the opportunity to work on real-world problem statements spanning systems, UI/UX, developer tooling, AI agents, and more. Challenge highlights include working on multiple problem statements such as modern desktop UI/UX, Linux start menu systems, telemetry tools, sandboxed development environments, Indic language OS support, voice-controlled desktop agents, gaming on cloud Linux systems, and intelligent app recommendation engines. Compensation will be provided to selected participants, and details will be shared during the selection process. These challenges are suitable for students interested in systems development, full-stack engineering, AI/ML, developer tooling, and open-source contributions.
