Greetings from Krittika, the Astronomy Club of IIT Bombay!
The summer holidays usher in the perfect opportunity to discover the universe beyond textbooks: Krittika Summer Projects (KSP) 7.0, a collection of mentored research projects that integrate essential computational skills (such as Machine Learning, Data Analysis, Visualisation and Simulations) with theoretical astronomy and astrophysics.
Each project is headed by domain experts from leading institutes, and is uniquely designed to be an intensive, enriching research experience. The projects will stretch across the entire summer, and are completely online. All computational work is based on Python.
KSP 7.0 is free of cost and open to all students. Interested applicants must complete an assignment to be eligible for selection, linked below. The submission must be completed on or before 11 May 2026, 11:59pm.
