Greetings from Institute Cultural Council! We are inviting nominations for the post of Overall Coordinator - IIT Bombay Broadcasting Channel (IITBBC OC) for the tenure 2026–27. IIT-Bombay Broadcasting Channel (IITBBC), the multimedia and broadcasting body of IIT Bombay, aims to provide viewers with a glimpse into the events, activities, and life at IIT Bombay through creative and engaging visual storytelling. We are looking for candidates with: • Passion for media, storytelling, and content creation along with a strong work ethic. • Enthusiasm for exploring themes relevant to the IITB community through diverse video formats. • Leadership, teamwork, and execution skills to manage projects effectively. UG Students: Should have completed at least 3 semesters at IIT Bombay. PG Students: Should have completed at least 1 semester at IIT Bombay. Prior experience in media, videography, editing is desirable but not compulsory. No active backlogs, however students with less than two active backlogs can apply if CPI>7. Students with any DAC, A-DAC, WDC or any other kind of fines are not allowed to hold the position. III] Work Description. • Managing and coordinating the IIT-BBC team and its activities. • Leading the ideation and execution of various multimedia projects. • Coordinating with the Institute Film and Media Secretary and reporting to the General Secretary, Cultural Affairs. • Planning event coverage and overseeing content production workflows and most importantly Restructuring and defining a clear domain and long-term vision for IITBBC while ensuring synergy and avoiding overlap with other bodies Previously, IITBBC has been involved in activities such as (subject to restructuring and revision): • Campus Event Coverage Coverage of major IIT Bombay events, festivals, protests, workshops, lectures, competitions, and institute activities. • Culturals & Performances Coverage of PAF, Inter IIT Cultural Meet, performances, and cultural showcases. • Student Elections & Soapboxes Recording and publishing SOAPBOX sessions for Gymkhana election candidates. • Interviews & Talk Shows Professor podcasts, student interactions, alumni conversations, and personality-based features. • Campus Life & Student Experience Campus tours, hostel life glimpses, freshers’ introductions, student journeys, and day-to-day IIT Bombay culture content. One of IITBBC’s most viewed videos is “A Tour of IIT Bombay.” • Sports, Tech & Academics Coverage and updates from sports, technical, and academic activities alongside culturals. • Documentary / Feature-style Videos Storytelling-based campus features and highlight reels around institute initiatives and communities Further details regarding the selection process and groundworks will be communicated later.
