The Mid-Prep Problem Statement by
Observe.AI – “Causal Rationale Extraction and Synthesis from Conversational Data on Business Events” – has just been released. This challenge calls on you to uncover the why behind business-critical events by combining large-scale conversational analytics with the power of AI reasoning and data systems.
Short Summary of the Problem Statement:
Design and build a functional, end-to-end system capable of analyzing large volumes of conversational data to extract causal triggers, generate evidence-based explanations, and enable context-aware follow-up queries.
Your platform should enable the following key functionalities:
● Causal Explanation: Generate structured, evidence-based insights explaining why specific business events (like escalations or refunds) occur.
● Conversational Follow-Up: Handle iterative analytical queries while maintaining contextual awareness of prior interactions.
● Insight Generation: Identify and synthesize recurring causal patterns from dialogues for actionable business intelligence.
