Greetings from the Institute Sports Council!
As part of Quincena, the Fitness Club is pleased to announce a series of girls-only fitness and wellness workshops exclusively for female students of IIT Bombay. These workshops aim to promote physical fitness, self-confidence, discipline, and overall well-being through structured and professionally guided sessions.
The following girls-only workshops will be conducted during Quincena:
- Martial Arts Workshop (Girls Only)
This workshop introduces participants to a structured blend of Taekwondo, Karate, Kickboxing, and Jiu-Jitsu, with a focus on self-defence, agility, discipline, and mental resilience. The sessions are suitable for beginners as well as participants with prior experience and will be conducted by a certified trainer.
Dates: Starting from 31st January 2026
Venue: Screening Room, 3rd Floor, New SAC (opposite Hostel 11)
Timings:
• 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
• (Wednesdays: 8:30 pm – 9:30 pm)

- Pool Pilates Workshop (Girls Only)
Pool Pilates is a low-impact, water-based workout focusing on core strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility. Conducted in a supervised pool environment, this workshop is designed to improve fitness while minimizing joint stress.
Dates: Starting from 31st January 2026
Venue: Swimming Pool, IIT Bombay
Timings: 5:00-6:00 pm

- Weightlifting Workshop (Girls Only)
This workshop focuses on strength training fundamentals, including proper lifting techniques, injury prevention, and safe use of gym equipment. It is designed for beginners as well as participants looking to build confidence in weight training.
Dates: Starting from 28th January 2026
Venue: Institute Gym / SAC Gym
Timings: 6:30-8:00 pm
Eligibility: Open to female students only

• Sessions will begin strictly on time; late entries will not be permitted
• Regular attendance is expected from all participants
• Participants are advised to wear appropriate sportswear
