Dear Students, Greetings from Student Support Services, UGAC! Applications for the post of SI 416 (Optimization) UG Teaching Assistant are now open. Interested students are requested to carefully review the eligibility criteria and workload details mentioned below and fill out the Google form accordingly. IMPORTANT AND TO BE NOTED: It has been observed that students, especially undergraduates, sometimes underestimate the time and effort required for a TA role, which may lead to a lack of commitment. Students are strongly advised to apply for the TA-ship only if they are genuinely interested in the course and can dedicate sufficient time and effort throughout the semester. Eligibility for SI416 UG TA-ship: (i) Year of study: 3rd, 4th, or 5th year (ii) Grade requirement in SI416 or an equivalent course: AA or AB (iii) CPI must be 8.0 or above (iv) Open to students from all departments, provided they have completed SI416 or an equivalent course Workload Details: The responsibilities include grading 3 home-works and 2 quizzes. Each homework or quiz involves grading one question for approximately 200 students. The stipend will be as per institute norms. Note:

1. No student can be a TA for more than one course in a semester simultaneously
2. A student can apply for TA-ship in a maximum of three courses
3. Selection of TAs is at the sole discretion of the course instructor, who holds the right to select or reject any application
4. Each course has its own application deadline and interview schedule, if applicable
5. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline for the respective course
