In the past year and a half, wellness activities on campus have grown several-fold. The Centre now has 7 counsellors providing counselling services and 4 counsellors conducting outreach events across campus. The Centre offers accessible, free counselling services through different modes: in-person, online, telephonic (added six months ago), and an option to avail counselling outside campus. Walk-in services, already available on weekdays, have been extended to weekends and holidays. Counsellors are available at both the SWC office and hostels. Every week, the outreach counsellors conduct events such as Harmony Hangouts and Peer Connect in hostels. Every month, there is a lecture (Vartalaap) and a panel discussion (TTL) on different wellness themes. In both semesters, we had week-long events for Mental Health Week (October 2025) and Mental Strength Week (January 2026). We strive to grow further and provide even better and wider mental health support networks for students. A year ago, the Flourishing Hub was started in collaboration with alumni. Wellness workshops for first-year UGs, training for mentors, a leadership course for all students with PORs, and several other workshops were conducted by the Flourishing Hub team over the past year. As we prepare for the new academic year, we would like to reflect on our progress and hear your feedback. Note: We need your honest feedback so that we can improve and serve you better. You may disclose your information if you feel comfortable doing so, but sharing your details is not mandatory. Best regards, Rekha Santhanam Chairperson, SWC
