Greetings from Team Rakshak, IIT Bombay, Team Rakshak is pleased to announce the commencement of its recruitment process for the upcoming cycle. We invite motivated and curious students to join a multidisciplinary, student-driven technical team dedicated to the design, development, and deployment of autonomous UAVs. With a decade-long legacy, Team Rakshak has consistently represented IIT Bombay at international competitions, competing against leading universities worldwide. Our work focuses on building complete real-world engineering systems that take off, navigate autonomously, execute mission objectives, and land successfully. The team has received international recognition at platforms such as the IMechE UAS Challenge, InnovAero Challenge, and CUAS 2025. Our technical work is organized across three closely integrated subsystems: Aerodynamics and Manufacturing: aircraft design, structural analysis, fabrication, and hands-on manufacturing Software: autonomy, navigation, mission planning, perception, and decision-making algorithms Avionics: sensors, flight controllers, communication systems, onboard computing, navigation, path planning , and control integration Team Rakshak comprises students from diverse academic backgrounds. No prior experience in aerospace or UAVs is required. We value enthusiasm, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn and build.
