Starr Professor of Economics at NYU Stern School of Business and served as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (2017–2019). Dr. Acharya is considered one of the world’s leading authorities on systemic risk and financial stability. Often described as the "conscience of the banking system", Dr Acharya returns to campus to decode the complex architecture of the global financial system, with the precision of an engineer and the insight of a central banker.
