We are thrilled to announce the release of the Assignment and that applications are now open for the position of Trainee in the Investment Team at IIT Bombay in three verticals: Equity Research, Venture Capital, and Quant. As a trainee, you will be exposed to structured sessions led by your respective division heads, who will mentor you and provide insights into the responsibilities during your tenure as an analyst. Being an Analyst, you will dive deep into diverse asset classes, do macroeconomic research, analyze startups and market trends precisely, and create resilient portfolios that can withstand uncertainties. But that's not all; you will also gain access to workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs led by industry experts. These opportunities will help you broaden your knowledge and become a skilled investment analyst. The Equity Research division conducts an in-depth analysis of sectors and companies, using fundamental analysis and financial modelling along with a focus on Fixed Income, Macroeconomics and MacroFinance. The Venture Capital division has collaborated with Root Ventures to conduct guided market studies and industry analysis and critically evaluate new upcoming Indian startups. The Quant division of the Investment Team applies quantitative and technical analysis for trading strategies, portfolio optimization, and market pattern recognition using Python, Pine Script, and C++. While in the team, you will also get first-hand experience in Industry as well as Academic research. Eligibility Criteria: 1. The candidate must have less than two active backlogs and CPI>=7 as of current academic standing. However, there are no CPI criteria for candidates with no active backlog. 2. The candidate must have completed at least two semesters. 3. The candidate must be a UG student at IITB. Please note the following: 1. There are no specific prerequisites for the position. A passion for finance would suffice. 2. To qualify for the interview round, You must solve the below assignment and submit it as per the mentioned details. You can attempt the assignment for multiple divisions but can work under only one division if selected. Submit a separate Google Form for each division.
