Team Zero Waste is a student-run team promoted by TCTD (Tata Centre for Technology and Design), which aims to build integrated, sustainable and scalable waste management solutions, making our institute a "Zero-Waste-to-Landfill" campus. The team works from two fronts: technical and policy. The technical team is responsible for providing technical solutions to reduce, recycle and reuse the waste being generated and to get economic value out of it. Some of the projects that we are working on include generating value out of lemon waste, rainwater harvesting and Plastic bottle crusher (for compacting the large amount of waste generated during various student fests ) both in collaboration with NSS. While the policy team is responsible for finding management solutions for the same by spreading awareness, designing dustbins, posters, stickers, etc. for ease of segregation.
