Hostel 10 (Phoenix) is the home for about 1100 female students of IIT bombay. This Girls' Hostel is located at the heart of the campus, as a high-rise building (with 10 floors) with a breath-taking view at the Powai lake. The hostel is primarly divided into four wings. The hostel mess has a pleasant ambience with a seating capacity of around 200. Our mess is renowned for maintenance of proper hygiene; amiable and co-operative nature of mess staff, supervisors and kitchen workers; diversity in the mess menu with options of Jain food, boiled food and non-veg food. The mess is also well equipped with two refrigerators, pop-up toster and grill roaster. Hostel 10 mess is always hustling with the hostilities and a fair number of visitors as the hostel is very near to the departments and lecture halls. The sole motto behind the workforce of hostel maintenance is to keep everything running. In hostel 10, we make sure that the hostilities have a comfortable stay and if at all they face any challenges, they are immediately attended to. The hostel has several facilities making it a better place to live in, for example washing areas are well equiped with washing machines and driers, ironing facilities, mess terrace and garden area for enjoying fresh air, lounge with a plasma TV and comfortable sitting facilities, study room, common room geared with indoor games, tech room, music room, dance room, GYM, pool room, basketball and badminton courts. The hostel also has a wonderful night canteen. The hostel residents are as enthusiastic and dedicated to culturals and sports as they are towards thier studies. Our hostel is inhabited by several inter-IIT participants in sports and culturals. In hostel 10, we have a plethora of talent, creativity, expression and imagination. coupled with the very essense of womenhood.
