Managing hostel room retention, vacation vacate policies, room renovations, and planning future hostel expansions.
Mess & Food Services
Overseeing mess committees, night canteen operations, nutrition audits, flexible mess systems, and special facilities like Ramadan Sehri.
Student Welfare & Hygiene
Partnering with the Gender Cell, PwD Student Cell for accessibility, and driving campus-wide hygiene and sanitization standards.
Sustainability & Tech Infrastructure
Leading sustainability drives (cycle auctions, e-waste segregation) and ensuring high-speed LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity across all hostels.
Council Structure & Representation
HAC operates through a multi-tier governance structure representing 13,000+ resident scholars and students, coordinating directly with Deans, Associate Deans (SA), Wardens, and Institute administration.
Led by the General Secretary of Hostel Affairs (GSHA), alongside Institute Secretaries of Hostel Affairs (ISHAs for UG & PG) and Institute Girls Nominee.
Specialized leadership including Institute System Administrators (ISA), International Relations (ISIR), Overall Coordinators for Sustainability Cell, and Hygiene Committee.
Elected General Secretaries, Council Nominees, and Mess Councilors managing all student hostels and residence halls across campus.
