Hostels
Hostel life has proved to be an essential feature of education and training at IIT Bombay, although availing accommodation on campus is optional. Hostel life has fostered a sense of community living, sharing, and results in broadening of the individual perspective. Hostels are meant to foster cooperation in the learning process and have been a source of long term friendships.
A rich and thriving tradition of sports and cultural activities and extra curricular tech and innovation activities has evolved over the decades and is kept up and reinvigorated by every batch of students.
