Online
Greetings from EnPoWER, UGAC! Kindly find below the details provided by Prof. Debabrata Maiti, Department of Chemistry. Their group works at the intersection of AI/ML and the chemical and biological sciences. They are designing Generative AI and Reinforcement Learning models to create novel anticancer drug candidates and discover new chemical systems. They are looking for motivated B.Tech students who are excited about hands-on, lab-based research. Students will receive strong mentorship, lab access, and a clear path to publications. What you will do - Build and test ML models involving Generative AI and Reinforcement Learning on Drug Discovery and Chemical Reaction Engineering - Work among the research directions involving causal reinforcement learning, diffusion based methods, multi-modal fusion techniques and the domain of mechanistic interpretability - Brainstorm and research over ideas in a particular domain of machine learning, chemistry and biology. - Keep clean code, logs, and figures aiming towards a research paper What you will learn -Insightful research work in the domain of applied ML - Exposure to various application-based ML pipelines - Good research practice, writing, and presentations - How to turn results into journal-ready outputs Who can apply - B.Tech students from any department - Students motivated in the domain - Understanding of machine learning algorithms is a plus - Able to commit [10-15 Hours / Week] How to apply (5–7 min) Fill this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe53qf9WivDifakFpYo6m2s0pmB_OCFx1LCAFG1lPcFV81I4w/viewform Link to the assignment paper (Choose any 1 and submit a drive link to one-page summary in the form) Paper 1 - Prediction Powered Inference (https://arxiv.org/pdf/2301.09633) Paper 2 - Multi Modal Fusion (https://arxiv.org/pdf/2306.17799) Paper 3 - Genotype Based Generation (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-025-60763-9) Dev Arora | Rupanshi Vijayvargiya ISAAs & Heads, EnPoWER Undergraduate Academic Council (UGAC) 8218705411 | 9301891196 To Be of Service | सेवा परमो धर्म: Kartik Shilpi Singhal General Secretary, Academic Affairs (UG) Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay Powai, Mumbai - 400076 Email: gsecaaug@iitb.ac.in UGAC Website: https://ugac-iitb.github.io/UGAC-IITB/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ugac.iitb/
