PGAC Postdoctoral Opportunities Series | Lecture 1

The Post Graduate Academic Council (PGAC), IIT Bombay, successfully organized the first lecture of the Postdoctoral Opportunities Series on 20 June 2026. The session featured distinguished IIT Bombay alumni and researchers, Dr. Tresa Abraham, Dr. Meghali, Dr. Navinya Chimurkar and Dr. G. Keerthiga, who are currently associated with leading international institutions including Harvard University, Stanford University, the University of Rostock, Germany, and INP Toulouse, France.

The speakers shared their academic and professional journeys, offering valuable insights into postdoctoral research opportunities, international fellowships, the application process, and life as a researcher abroad. Drawing from their personal experiences, they provided practical guidance on building a strong research profile, identifying suitable opportunities, and navigating the transition to global research environments.

The event concluded with an engaging question and answer session, where participants interacted directly with the speakers and sought advice on pursuing postdoctoral positions and research careers in academia. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 100 students across disciplines and served as an informative platform for aspiring researchers interested in exploring international academic opportunities.
